Unity, collaboration and understanding.

Promotig Cultural Exchange and Integration

My journey as a conference interpreter has spanned over thirty years, exposing me to various fields such as business, politics, social science, production, journalism, and many other topics. Through these experiences, I have developed a strong understanding of cross-cultural communication and the ability to perceive diverse perspectives.

By prioritizing these objectives, I aim to contribute towards the development of a more inclusive and socially integrated community in South Dublin County, which will yield advantages for both Irish citizens and immigrants. Through proactive involvement, cooperation, and effective communication, I perceive significant prospects for tackling local issues, enhancing intercultural interactions, and fostering a more resilient and interconnected community for all inhabitants.

Inclusive

I believe in building a society that cherishes and celebrates diversity in every aspect, acknowledging and honouring the unique cultures, beliefs, languages, abilities, and viewpoints of individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Attentive to detail

When it comes to communicating between cultures, it’s important to recognize the value of each topic. Although we may have different viewpoints, we all share common goals like family protection, having a home, food, and living in peace. To reach these goals, having kind and honest conversations is key.

Respectful

In the art of fostering dialogue in society, the cornerstone lies in the virtue of respect. However, true respect encompasses not only acknowledging but also listening, comprehending, and responding to one another’s needs with love and serenity.

Collaborative

It may be tempting to believe that all challenges can be overcome through individual effort alone. However, one can never possess all the expertise, knowledge, and skills that can be acquired within a truly collaborative environment. It is only in such a setting that the impossible becomes achievable, and daunting obstacles transform into enjoyable endeavours.

Vision

Embracing Differences, Uniting Strength: Building a Resilient Society through Multicultural Diversity.

Mission

My mission is to foster an inclusive and harmonious society by celebrating and leveraging the unique strengths and perspectives of individuals from diverse backgrounds. Through collaboration, education, and advocacy, I aim to promote resilience, understanding, and unity within our multicultural community.
